Innovalight is developing products for the residential and commercial rooftop market. The initial product will have a similar look and feel to today’s crystalline based solar cells and modules but will have a significantly higher power output per area. With our high efficiency products, system integrators will require less mounting hardware, cables and labor to complete an installation. These reductions in balance of system costs (BOS) coupled with our lower cost products will drastically reduce the cost of solar installations.

Innovalight’s first product is the marriage of the time-tested crystalline wafer platform with a new silicon processing technique. This “silicon on silicon” solution yields high efficiency at a low cost while virtually eliminating any reliability risk that is common with products incorporating unproven materials. Future products will leverage the company’s demonstrated contact less inkjet manufacturing platform. This platform gives Innovalight a sustainable competitive advantage compared to existing high efficiency product producers because it significantly simplifies the manufacturing process while also enabling the use of ultra thin crystalline wafers.
