The Ludwigsfelde location is the Center of Excellence for the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of industrial gas turbines within MTU\'s network of companies.

The company is a licensed Level IV depot for General Electric LM2500™, LM2500Plus™, LM5000™ and LM6000™ gas turbines. Our worldwide customer base is as varied as the range of applications for the products, and spans the gamut from power generation companies to marine users and operators of oil rigs and compressor stations, on-shore and off-shore. Our specialists are available around the clock on 365 days to provide support to our customers. A 24-hour hotline will coordinate and organize activities to be performed on-site in the case of an emergency or during repair.

If necessary, we assume responsibility for the entire maintenance management under long-term agreements. The services offered range from the removal of the gas turbine through re-commissioning, from on-site repairs through scheduled inspection, from remote monitoring and vibration analysis through technical consultation and customer training.

Moreover, MTU Maintenance provides its customers with MTU services, spare parts and lease engines. Outside Europe, MTU has representatives on site in North and South America, Asia and Australia. This way, our local field service representatives will be on-site within a mere 24 hours to help customers, wherever in the world they are.

MTU\'s Berlin-Brandenburg location boasts one of the largest and most advanced test stands for industrial gas turbines worldwide.

One of only two of its kind worldwide, it is designed to accommodate and test LM2500™, LM2500Plus™ and LM6000™ gas turbines under real operating and load conditions. LM5000™ turbines are tested on an aircraft engine test bed.

During testing at MTU, highly-stressed components can be put through their paces. This ensures the maintenance work is performed in accordance with the best industry practice.
