Product Description
Calamity Jane is the successor of Trenchsetter and as of July 2005 she performs as support vessel for Allseas' mechanical subsea pipeline trencher Digging Donald. In addition to trenching, other support services on dynamic positioning can be performed, such as pipeline crossing preparation, mattress installation in deep water, surveys and pigging and testing of pipelines, all diverless.
Trenching is possible for pipelines of up to 48" diameter, in water depth up to 350 m and in soil types ranging from loose to dense sand and from firm to very hard clay. The trencher, known as Digging Donald, is the only mechanical pipeline trencher that never touches the pipelines. It is fully remote controlled from Calamity Jane. The total length of pipe trenched with this spread is near to 3.000 km.
