Job Description
Our client now require a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on a range of challenging, dynamic and high-profile projects where you will have the ability to receive and develop a brief and contribute to the development of the design and construction process.
The successful applicant will work as part of a new team to deliver medium to large scale projects in both the public and private sector.

Principle functions will include:

" Electrical design work for a range of projects
" Liaise with other construction professionals
" Leading small teams of engineers to deliver projects on time and to budget
" Ensuring compliance with company quality systems
" Calculate lighting levels within rooms, provide all electrical layout and establish power schemes
" Coordinate with the Mechanical design engineer and issue all information to allow mechanical design to be completed
" Liaise with the design team members to convey the requirements of the M&E service to them, as well as understanding the client brief
" Write the specification for the project and establish the schedules for all equipment
" Respond to contractor queries and attend site progress meetings

Candidates should have a good multidisciplinary knowledge of their field and be able to positively advise other disciplines regarding aspects of their design as it impacts mechanical engineering issues.

Essential requirements:

" BSc, BEng or HNC/D in related subject preferable
" Experience and exposure of a range of electrical engineering solutions
" Must have experience in lighting, power, fire alarm, data cabling and stand by electricity supplies design and specification
" Previous client facing experience
" Experience in the use of Amtech
" A strong technical focus
" Capability to work to deadlines and work autonomously when required
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
