Service Specials Direct (SSD), formerly Picture Perfect Promotions (PPP), has re-entered the industry with a powerful new mail format that is delivering the best response rates dealer service departments have seen in many years. After fulfilling a three-year agreement not to compete in the automotive industry, Ed Collins, president of the former Picture Perfect, has reunited the nucleus of his successful team to deliver a unique service marketing solution. PPP was the largest and most successful direct mail firm specializing in automotive service mailers in the U.S. when ADP Dealer Services acquired it in April 1997. Unexpectedly, ADP closed all PPP operations two years later in May of 1999. As the first company to introduce an 11" x 17" 4-color service mailer with protected territories to the automotive service industry in 1992, PPP dominated the service mailer market for eight years, providing cleverly designed, high-quality mailers to thousands of dealerships across the country. PPP was on the preferred vendor list of General Motors and produced factory programs for Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Volkswagen, Audi, Volvo and Jaguar.
